A Teen Facial will include a thorough skin analysis to determine the teen’s skin type and needs for the skin.

The skin may be gently exfoliated using ultrasonic exfoliate to loosen surface dry cells to prepare the skin for a deep pore cleanse. Steam maybe included to soften the pores, which will allow for manual extractions done safely so as not to harm the integrity of the skin. A customised mask appropriate for the skin type is applied and the facial finished with an oil-free lotion.

During the facial, the ways in which diet and lifestyle can affect the skin is discussed, along with suggestions about how to care for the skin at home with simple, but effective routines.

Post Facial Care

• Avoid direct sunlight/use of sun beds for 7 days following treatment.

• Avoid harsh skin products for 5 days including AHAs, scrubs etc.

• Wash all make up brushes before next use.

• Avoid touching your face as much as possible and always clean your hands first.

• Change your pillow case regularly and use fresh towels/face cloths to avoid bacteria.

• Avoid any activity that causes sweating for 48 hours.

• Avoid swimming, hot tubs for 7 days (due to the chlorine).

• Use an SPF everyday but especially for the next 7 days.

• Keep hydrated with lots of water.

• Use hydrating products such as serums and moisturisers often for the next 7 days.

• Use a gentle cleanser and apply moisturizer at least twice daily for a minimum of 7 days post treatment.

• Avoid excessive heat treatments e.g. sauna steam rooms for a minimum of 3 days post treatment. Please keep out of the sun /sunbeds for 2 weeks post treatment. If you must be in the sun, apply SPF 50 or greater, reapply often, wear a hat, and seek shade when possible. It is essential to wear SPF factor 50 following this treatment as part of your homecare. Without doing so can result in pigmentation.

• Avoid makeup for 24 hours.

• Be sparing with self-tan, remember absorption levels are elevated.

• You may experience a slight windburn sensation post treatment and skincare products may tingle slightly, this is normal for the first few days.
